Ferrara in the project "Cities for cyclist"
Formalized the membership of Ferrara in the project which aims to put cycling at the centre of urban planning
It was formalized the membership of the city of Ferrara in the project “Cities for cyclist”, a global network created to connect local and regional governments who are working to promote bicycle use by exchanging best practices and knowledge. The overall aim of the project is put cycling at the centre of urban planning and political thinking, exchanging knowledge, solutions and strategies and promoting a change in policy. The projects member are Copenhagen and Frederiksberg (Denmark), Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Memmingen, and Munich (Germany), City of Luxembourg (Luxembourg), Ghent (Belgium), Vienna (Austria), Winterthur (Switzerland), Gdansk (Poland), Seville (Spain), Izmit and Konya (Turkey). Every year, representatives of Cities for Cyclist meet to compare strategies and achievements. The next one will take place in Seville (23-25 March 2011).
